You may find yourselves having the same arguments over and over, or struggling to truly reach each other. In therapy, we explore what lies beneath and work towards more understanding, connection, and clarity.
I'm Anna Perret, a psychologist and couples & family therapist (NVRG) with over 10 years of experience. Like many of us, I grew up with romantic ideas about love — the notion that there is one soulmate with whom everything simply falls into place.
While I'm still a romantic at heart, I've also learned that lasting happiness in love isn't a given. We all carry our quirks, blind spots and protective patterns that can get in the way. I love working with couples to explore what's really happening, and to witness trust and connection finding their way back.
As a registered couples and family therapist, I'm a member of the Dutch Association for Relationship and Family Therapy (NVRG). I've been trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), schema therapy and EMDR, and continue to deepen my practice with new insights in couples therapy.

In therapy we explore your patterns together, and the (attachment) fears and needs that lie beneath them. We work to restore connection and safety by re-creating understanding and recognition for each other's feelings, and by developing new, more helpful ways of relating.
I work with evidence-based interventions from systemic couples therapy. Over the years I've trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), EMDR (trauma treatment) and schema therapy.
More recently, I've increasingly integrated body-oriented work, having seen that talking alone isn't always enough.
Many couples find a short programme is enough to feel reconnected and continue on their own. When difficulties have been around longer, or when personal themes also play a role, a more extensive programme may suit you better.
“Anna helped my husband and me communicate better and enjoy being at home together again. We felt understood right away. She listened carefully and pinpointed exactly what we couldn't see ourselves.”
“Anna combines warmth and compassion with sharp insight and thoughtful questions. With speed and humor, she creates a safe environment while consistently getting to the heart of the matter.”
“Helped us so much — everything felt right. Practical tools we could really build on. Highly recommended. A wonderful therapist.”
Feel welcome to get in touch. Together, we can explore what feels like the right fit.
